Many consider the Dell Inspiron Mini 10 a bit overpriced as this netbook belongs to the upper price bracket of more than $500. We agree that it maybe a little bit more expensive than its rivals but let us examine what it offers.
The Dell Inspiron Mini 10 is the younger brother of the Dell Inspiron Mini 12 and one of the top 5 must have netbooks of 2009. They look practically the same, except that this 10-incher has a sleeker look that its predecessor. The Dell Inspiron Mini 10 has a box dimension of 10.3 x 7.2 x 1.3 inches, and weighs only 2.6 lbs. It is really amazing how Dell was able to pack a TV antenna and a tuner into this little box.
This netbook is not only sleek and light, but also sports a fabulous design. The Dell Inspiron Mini 10 is very compact with rounded lids and black glossy finish. Its compact design allowed Dell to cast a roomy keyboard, with some important keys retaining their full sizes. This mobile thinking chic comes in four other colors – white, green, pink and blue.

The 3K Longitude rode the bandwagon after the Asus EEE PC broke ground as the first mini notebook to hit the market and other companies have followed suit and came up with their own versions of the now popular EEE PC series. US-based 3K Computers released its own Longitude mini notebook, which is priced at a little below $400.
Does the 3K Longitude satisfy its targeted market’s needs? With the Asus EEE PC as well as other competitors in existence, will it be able to stand on its own and gather a number of loyal followers? The biggest question would be whether the features installed by 3K into its UMPC offering are worth the price tag.

From MSI comes the MSI Wind U100. What features can a user expect from the netbook? Does it deliver in terms of performance and specifications? Here’s what we think about the MSI Wind Review after testing it.
Pros
Users will be delighted to find that although this is a mini-notebook, the MSI Wind has a decently-sized keyboard that will not make their hands and fingers cramp when typing. To those who are used to full-sized laptops, they’d also be impressed by the size of the Wind’s keyboard as it is surprisingly close to what they have been using. The keyboard also gives feedback, and does not require a tremendous effort to press.
The speakers on the MSI Wind give excellent output as well. The audio is very clear and crisp, even from a distance of seven feet. Music lovers will certainly love the clarity that they can enjoy without having to plug in headsets or external speakers to do so.

More Eee PC on: Top 5 Netbooks
The Asus Eee PC 701 was introduced around two years ago, but it remains an attention-getter until today. The Asus Eee PC 701 comes with a 900-MHz Intel Celeron Processor, Asus Xandros-based Linux operating system, 512 MB RAM but only 4GB storage space.
With only seven inches of screen display, one may find that the Asus Eee PC 701 may be too small compared to a notebook with a 14-inch LCD. Asus, however, designed this netbook to appeal to travel-happy computer users. People who do lots of travels wouldn’t mind staring onto a small screen as long as they can surf the Internet and work wherever they go. For an ultra-mobile PC, seven inches of screen is already adequate. The Asus Eee PC 701 won’t even be noticeable even on a small sling bag.

When Elitegroup Computer Systems launched the ECS G10IL, it was perceived that this notebook would definitely be a killer for other computing machines at its weight category. With a diagonal size of 11 inches, the price of the ECS G10IL is almost the same as its nine-inch competitors; however, it offers better connectivity.
With Asus being the benchmark for ultra-mobile lightweight computers, other notebook manufacturers have started manufacturing similar thinking machines that allow technology users to work and surf wherever they go without the hassle of bringing some deadweight. Although heavier than some two-pound notebooks, ECS G10IL could still be considered a lightweight machine with only three pounds of weight.

Everex’s netbook, named the Everex Cloudbook, offers a satisfactory, albeit unimpressive, performance. The Everex Cloudbook offers satisfactory operation based on its 1.2 GHz VIA C7-M ultra low voltage processor. Upgrading the tiny 512MB RAM to 1GB does help improve its performance. Still, this is not remarkable compared to the competition.
Freemont, California-based Everex is a manufacturer of desktop and notebook personal computers. Established in 1983, the company initially made a name for itself as the leader in tape backup sales with half the world market.
